MURDERED BY MY FATHER AIRS & OTHER UPDATES

Happy New Year, folks! I realise it's been quite a while since I've updated this. So what's going on?

- MURDERED BY MY FATHER is written, shot and airs in February. Looking back at my post from last June, I believe I've done what I set out to and having seen the results am proud of it. The toughest project I've had to write by a long yard.

- I'm also writing an episode of a new Goa-set hospital comedy-drama GOOD KARMA HOSPITAL for ITV1 and the nice people at Tiger Aspect.

- Still working on a couple of commission plays as well as KNOWN UNKNOWNS - a radicalisation rom-com. Yep.

Left me gasping for breath..emotive & relevant piece of work. Huge thanks to you & the actors for bringing this topic into the light, so to speak. It's a topic which lingers both in full view and covertly within our society but ignored by most. I share this heritage, though was fortunate enough to 'escape' the expected norms - the burden of shame and its ramifications are truly horrendous..you work & that of the actors have helped to educate some..thank you.

This was so well written. The way it showed the human side of the father also and the fact that had society not meddled, he would have probably come round to accepting his daughters love. Congratulations for all the accolades so far, I'm so certain there are many more to come. You're an amazing human being and you tackled the BBC's task with such grace and respect. X
